Obituary:

Venus C. Hills, Jr., 39, of Sanford, departed this life on Friday, February 9, 2024. Venus, affectionately known as “COTY”, was born in Vero Beach, FL on June 26, 1984 to Helen and Venus Hills Sr. After earning his Associate Degree, he entered the workforce as an aircraft painter in Brevard County.

Venus was caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable. He was taught how to be strong and resilient. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring cars. He cared for and loved all of his family. Venus was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving sister, Latasha (Steven) Lutman; brothers, Antowain (Christina) Pierson, Clarence Young, Johnathan (Aubrey) Hills; fiancee’, Shiykila Griffin ; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5-6 PM at the chapel. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1012 S. Park Avenue, Apopka. Interment: Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka.
