Obituary:

Marie B. Salomon, 81, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Marie was born on April 26, 1942 in Georgetown, Guyana to Marthe Petit and Antoine Solomon. She later moved to Haiti with her mother at the age of 3. Her parents and her mother later relocated to the Bahamas, where she grew up and had children. She later migrated to the US and had more children.

Marie was a kind, loving lady who helped anyone who needed help. She took in children and adults; she gave away more than she had all the time. She never let anyone in her presence leave empty handed. She was unique and special. Marie was a woman of great wisdom. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her children and family to follow. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. Marie was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her beloved children, Julie (Tim) Vaughs, Elga (Pierre) Cadet, Sylvy Cooper, Martha (Casey) Rahming, Candy Miller, Idena Bodie, Ruth (Anthony Sr.) Hilaire, Kim Stuart, Kallap (Sommer) Grant, Solomon Grant; 1 sister; 17 grandchildren; and a and host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 1:00 PM at Orange Center Church of God of Prophecy, 719 Cookman Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Aurelius Williams, eulogist.
