Obituary:

Booker Taliaferro Edwards Sr., 83, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Booker was born on December 6, 1939 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Jewell and Telly Edwards.

Shortly after finishing his formal education, Booker enlisted in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he began working in construction. Booker was an active member of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Booker is survived by his daughter, Katrina Edwards; son, Booker (Kelly) Edwards Jr.; siblings, Ruby (Coleman) Farley, Diane (Sam) Green, Peggy Edwards; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, 11:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando. Inunrment: Cape Canaveral VA Cemetery, Mims with full military honors.
