Obituary:
Patrick L. Clue, 58, of Apopka, departed this life on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The Life Journey of Patrick Ludlow Clue began August 26, 1964, to Mother Angela Kelly & Father Lascelles Clue. His formative years were spent with his great grandmother “Imogene Smith” affectionately known as ‘Aunt Tun’. As a teenager, he began living with his sisters and brother and their mother Ms. Rose Wilson.
His scholastic achievements were attained at Trench Town Primary School; Short-Wood All Age School & Charlie Smith High School. He was extremely resourceful and skilled. He could be seen making Crafts, shoes and everything else that his mind could conceive. As he grew older, he developed a love for Carpentry & Masonry. He completed several building projects for several companies in Jamaica and for private citizens alike. He attended several night classes where he obtained various certifications that not only satisfied his quest for being the best in his profession, but also to make himself more marketable for gainful employment.
Patrick was a well-loved individual, who had a heart of gold. He was selfless. Always willing to help a person in need, especially his loved ones. He had an infectious smile, one that easily lit up any room he entered. Patrick was a gentle giant. Though his tall frame and stature was sometimes misidentified until one got to know him, and when they did, they were awed by his warm, calm and loving disposition. Additionally, Patrick was revered by those who came in contact with him as he was honest and trustworthy to a fault.
He grew in favor with God & man. He had a passion for life and an unending positive zeal for others. He was an outgoing individual who was involved in various community activities, such as the Police Youth Club. Every evening before going to bed he sat and polished & shined his bicycle. It always looks like a new penny. On the weekends, he was seen with a group of Cyclist who showcased their skills, riding on one wheel, balancing the bicycle in various awkward positions, they were the envy of the community and all who owned a bicycle wish they were that skilled. He also had a passion for a good Domino game and a good beer and brought fun to any gathering he attended.
In 1993 he migrated to the United States to attend his mother’s funeral and like most immigrant, he stayed and work hard to support his young family left behind. Being the industrious man that he was, he again attended night classes in the United States, where he obtained his GED. With his diploma intact and coupled with his other certifications Patrick gained employment at Starrette City, one of the largest apartment Complex in Brooklyn New York, where he worked for upwards of a decade doing what he loved. Patrick also learnt to speak fluent Spanish through his informal daily interactions, which goes to show just how much of a people person he was.
At the age of twenty-three (23) he had his first child ‘Onikeh Clue’ he labored as a mason to take care of her. At age twenty-eight, (28) he was blessed with his second child Terrance Clue and later Tanesha Clue. These were the air that he breathes, the essence of his life. Later he had another daughter Sharru’n Clue who is loved by her older siblings. In 2008 Patrick met and fell in love with his wife Sandra Williams. Through his union with Sandra, Patrick gained two stepchildren, Travis Williams and Osayi Evbomenya whom he adored and cared for like his biological children. Patrick was a loving and devoted husband and an even more exceptional father to all his children.
On May 11, 2023 Patrick breathed his last breath and left us all behind to reminisce and bask in his memory. Most of all he left behind his beloved wife Sandra Williams. Sisters Ann-Marie Clue-Melville & spouse David Melville; Barbara Clue & spouse Michael Broughton; Denese Clue; Lorna Davis; Jullaine Clue; Brothers- Michael Clue; Donovan Napier; Donovan Kelly & wife & Les Clue. Grand- children; Tyrique Nelson, Liam Clue, Taisia Pringle and Taleigha Clue. Nieces & Nephews and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
