Obituary:
Lucette Maxius, 60, of New Smyrna Beach, 60, departed this life on Monday, May 1, 2023. Lucette was born on July 15, 1962 in Port-de-Paix, Haiti to Delilanise and Zimond Calixte. Lucette was a quiet woman but her personality was something that could captivate you and leave an impression on you. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, shopping, taking care of children, grandchildren and just giving to those in need. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Today she is survived and remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the many friends she made along the way. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Dieujuste Calixte, Dieuseul Seus, Lucken Seus, Laverne Mxius, Johnson Maxius, Madlyn Maxius; 5 sisters, Yvette Calixte, Lucie Calixte, Nelie Calixte, Leone Calixte, Clodlen Calixte; 20 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, 2:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
