Obituary:

Tanga Lynn Owens, 20, devoted mother, sister, teacher and friend left this world unexpectedly to be with the Lord on April 14th, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. Tanga was born on March 11, 2003 in Orlando, FL to Tanishia R. Starr and Levinski Bryant, Sr.

Tanga attended and graduated from the prestigious Jones High School class of 2021, where she was crowned “Miss Freshman” for the 2017-2018 school year. After graduating high school, she enrolled in Valencia College in pursuit of a degree in Child Development and was expected to graduate soon. She was a passionate teacher that loved her students, she would talk about them all the time. She worked at a substitute teacher for autistic children in Chipley, Florida and then as a toddler teacher at Kiddie Academy in Winter Park, FL where she was awarded certificates for “Best Classroom” & “Perfect Attendance.”

Tanga was a loving and selfless mother to her two beautiful children whom she loved dearly and loved by so many. Her positive outlook, generous spirit and kind heart left an impression wherever she went and who she came in contact with. She will forever be cherished in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Raegan Francois and Rylo Rodger (Orlando); father, Levinski Bryant Sr. (Orlando), sisters, Chanel Singleton, Makayla Singleton, Akela Wright, Layani Bryant (Orlando); brothers, Malachi Singleton, M’khi Starr, Levinski Bryant Jr., Levonte Bryant, Letrell Bryant, Letravious Bryant, Liam Bryant (Orlando); grandmother, Claudia Bryant (Orlando); great-grandmother, Delonia Starr (Orlando); in addition to a host of aunts, uncles & other assorted family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5-7PM at Tabernacle of the Enlightened Church of God, 1097 Broome Avenue, Orlando. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, 11:00AM at New Life COGIC, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Rev. Dr. Adrian Langston, officiating.
