Obituary:
James M. Patterson, 54, of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. James, affectionately known as “JP”, was born on April 9, 1968 in Syracuse, NY to Mary Parker and James Patterson. Professionally, James worked as a grocery store manager for several years. He always had a passion for cooking and was well known for his homemade Hog Head Cheeses.
JP dedicated his life to providing for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. His smile and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his loving companion, Temeka Brown; daughter, Jameriah Patterson; stepchildren, Edward and Mercedes Johnson; brothers, Jerome Patterson, Stevon Patterson; sisters, Sheri Patterson, Evelyn Patterson; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 12:00 Noon at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
My condolences to the entire Patterson family and to all of James’ friends. I will always have fond memories of James. May he test in peace.
