Obituary:
Rosina Bonsu, 69, of Haines City, departed this life on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Rosina was born on May 20, 1953 to Cecilia Pankeaa and Kwame Opoku in Ghana, West Africa. In search of a better life for herself and her family, she migrated to the United States and settled in Central Florida. Rosina had a passion for serving others and she retired from the healthcare field as a professional caregiver. Rosina married the love of her life, George Bonsu and together they had 4 wonderful children.
Rosina was a woman of great wisdom. She dedicated her life providing for her beloved family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her children and family to follow. In her spare time, she loved going to the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, and just being around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
To cherish his memories, Rosina leaves her husband, George Bonsu; their four children, Faith Bonsu, Glenn (Sam) Bonsu, Jason (Brittany) Bonsu, Nana (Zanobia) Bonsu; brothers, Paul Opoku, George Marfo; sisters, Lucy Opoku, Dorothy Opoku, Martha Opoku, Nancy Opoku; 11 grandchildren. Additionally, Rosina leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who loved and will miss her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 6-8PM at the mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 1:00 PM at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3751 North Highway 1, Cocoa with Rev. Dr. Nathan Mugala, officiating.
