Obituary:
Marie Smith, 86 of Winter Garden, departed this life on December 27, 2022. She was born May 27, 1936 in Edwards, Mississippi to the late Ethel and Columbus McFarland. She was employed as a healthcare worker for several years. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her children, Ethel M. Christopher, Maurice Smith, Tia Marie Smith; siblings, William McFarland, Leroy McFarland, Leonard McFarland, Joseph Horton, Robert Horton, Charles Walker, Lucille McFarland, Elizabeth Smith, Earnestine McFarland, Alma Jean Smith; 13 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, 11:00AM at Sand Hill Baptist Church, Edwards, MS under the direction of Willis and Sons Funeral Home.
