Obituary:

Billie Jean Daily, 70, of Eatonville, fell asleep and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Billie Jean was born on March 9, 1952 in Rayne, Louisiana to the late Barbara and Nolan Pitts. Professionally, Billie Jean was employed as an educator, and later as a guidance counselor, with OCPS. She also retired from the Walt Disney Company.

Billie Jean joined Rejoice in the Lord Ministries, Apopka and was an active and dedicated member for several years. During her time there, she has served on the usher board, a Prayer group member and leader, and was active in the Y.E.S. Ministry (Youthful Energetic Seniors).

Billie Jean was a community advocate and servant leader. She was a member of the Ocoee City Planning Committee; volunteered as a driver for the elderly with AdventHealth Hospital; and she served as the Director of the St. Lawrence AMEC, Eatonville Food Pantry. Among her many awards and recognitions, she was named the ‘Teacher of the Year’ while employed with OCPS.

Billie Jean loved the Lord, her life, her family, and the church. She showed her love through her service and would also participate in other activities and services held or sponsored by Rejoice in the Lord Ministries. She was a faithful and willing servant who instilled love, wisdom and Christian values for her family to follow. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Billie Jean is survived by her siblings, Nathaniel (Mona) Daily, Johnnetta Daily; devoted niece, Shonda (Christopher) Springs; and a host of other relatives, church family, and many friends.

A service of memory will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, 10:00AM at Rejoice in the Lord Ministries, 8053 Gilliam Road, Apopka.

      A privilege of having her friendship for over thirty years. Being able to hear her amazing laughter. A honor of being her friend/sister and especially having her be my children “Aunt Billie”. A friendship that will always treasured in my heart.

    This hurts so bad that your not here in the flesh to speak to me and give me that infectious laugh and smile. Your were moms sister, my aunt. Blood could’ve have made us closer. You made it your priority to be there for almost every huge milestone in my life as long as you knew about it. I love you. You will be missed. Now you and your sister Julia Javkson can rejoice together.
