Obituary:

Berman Sistrat, 48, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Berman was born on June 19, 1973 to Marie Salomon and Albert Sistrat on the island of Freeport, Grand Bahama (Bahamas). He and his mother migrated to the US when he was just 4 years old.

He was loved by everyone who he came in contact with. He was known to his family ad our “Gentle Giant”. He was helpful in every way. He was the caretaker of his beloved mother, and he never complained one day about the tasks. He always respected his siblings, and greeted his family with a big hug whenever he saw them. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Marie B. Salomon; father, Albert Sistrat; children, Cirra, Olivia, Justice Solomon; sister, Julia Vaughs (Tim), Elga Cadet (Pierre), Sylvy Cooper, Candy Miller, Martha Rahming (Casey), Idena Bodie, Rutha Hilaire (Anthony Sr.); brothers, Kallap Grant (Sommer) Solomon Grant; and a and host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, 2:00 PM at Church of God of Prophecy, 719 Cookman Avenue, Orlando with Bishop Cornelius Williams, officiating.
