Obituary:

Willie Mae Vinson, 81, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, March 31, 2022. She was born on November 22, 1940 in Miami, Florida to the late Willie Mae and Willie B. Scott, Sr. Professionally, Willie Mae worked for Orange County Public Schools as a custodian.

Willie Mae dedicated her life to her raising and caring for her beloved family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Vinson; children, Trina Chambers, Janice Sheppard, Denise Code, Nathaniel Henderson, Daniel Scott, Richard Henderson, Carolyn Scott, Josephine Henderson, Wanda (Raul) Hernandez; step sons, Alfonza Howard, Alonza Howard; sisters, Cynthia Lee, Inez Brown, Cassandra Brown, Joyce (Ned) Myers; 30 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4PM-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Minister Lovie J. Wynn, officiating.
