Obituary:

Algerine V. Law-Battle, 80, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, March 25, 2022. Algerine, affectionately known as Moochie, was born on September 9, 1941 in Holopaw, FL to the late Inez B. and Lloyd Law, Sr. She was educated in the public school system and later relocated to Orlando. Professionally, Algerine was employed as a telephone operator for several years.

Moochie dedicated her life to serving her family and community. She was an active and faithful member of New bethel AMEC, Orlando, serving in in various capacities until her health began to decline. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her family to follow. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her devoted children: daughters, Deidre Law, Crystal Law; son, Corey Battle; sisters, Cairlin (William) Carn, Mary Law, Essie (Randy) Jones; brothers, Floyd (Elvira) Law, Lloyd (Gloria) Law, Jr., Ernest Law, David (Essie) Law; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, 11:00 AM at New Bethel AME Church, 4201 W. Columbia Street, Orlando with Pastor WendelI Webster, officiating. Interment: South Sumter Evergreen Cemetery, Bushnell.
