Obituary:

Claudius Glover, 76, of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Claudius was born on April 3, 1945 in Tavares, Florida to the late Zola D. and Warren Glover, Sr. Claudius was a graduate of both the University of Florida and Rollins College. After graduation, he joined the US Army, earning several medals to include the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.

Claudius was an active member of both Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and Carter Tabernacle CME Church, Orlando. Professionally, Claudius served his community as an educator, and taught for over 20 years with OCPS. His gift for teaching and coaching impacted countless students. His devotion to the craft was driven by his enthusiasm for positively impacting students and working alongside other passionate educators. He retired as the Assistant Principal of Edgewater High School in 2002. Claudius was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, fraternity brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Claudius is survived by his beloved wife, Johnnie Mae Glover; son, Brian (Mirjana) Glover; daughter, Brandi (Dr. TK) Glover-Oglesby; sisters, Mary Louise Glover, Pauline Glover; brothers, Joe (Dorothy) Glover, Charles (Eva Moore) Sims; 4 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 2-5PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, 1:00 PM at Mt. Olive AME Church, 2525 W. Church Street, Orlando with Rev. Dr. James T. Morris, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando with full military honors.

    Mr. Glover was one of my favorite teachers at Richmond Heights ES. He will be missed. He made such an impact on so many lives. I will always remember him. R.I.H Mr. GLOVER.
