Obituary:

Violet Ihonia Ward, 92, of Apopka, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She was born on January 12, 1929 in Panama City, Panama to the late Ann E. and Osmond M. Ellis. Violet dedicated her life to her raising and caring for her children and family. She worked tirelessly as a home health aide for several years. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow. Violet was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheena Ward, Anelle Ward; sister, Pearl Ellis; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 5PM – 7PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, 1:30 PM at Mt. Olive Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3350 Clarcona Road, Apopka with Pastor Samuel Dade, officiating. Interment: Palm Cemetery, Winter Park.

    To that family. My deepest condolences 💐 to Sheena , Annell their children and the rest of the family. Mrs Ward was a treasure and light during my formative years. I appreciate her for exposing me to the word and true love of God through actions. She will be missed. Rest well !!
