Obituary:
Herbert “Butty” Rose, 88, Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Herbert was born on April 24, 1933 in St. Mary, Jamaica, WI to Josephine Rose. Herbert worked professionally in construction for several years before he retired. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Butty, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife, Mary Rose; daughters, Homa (Stafford) Rose-Miller, Kadian Rose; sons, Derrick (Angela) Rose, Howard (Angela) Rose, Kenzie Rose, Lincoln Rose, Everton (Lorna) Rose, Garfield (Lilieth) Rose, Robert Rose; brother, Roy Gayle; 22 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 5-8PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, 11:00 AM at Saved to Serve Church, 475 W. Silver Star Road, Ocoee with Elder Jose Sanchez, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
