Obituary:

Edward Glover, 84, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, April 26, 2021. Edward was born on July 29, 1936 in Tavares, Florida to the late Zola and Warren Glover Sr. Professionally, Edward was employed as a distribution truck driver for Nabisco Foods Company. He was an active and faithful member of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando for over 30 years. He served in several capacities, namely as an usher, member of the Male Chorus and as a Trustee. He was a servant of God who feared and loved the Lord with all his heart until his last breath. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Deloris Frazier Glover; daughter, Tomasita (Larry) Yoman-Palmer; stepson, Jon “JR” Frazier; sisters, Mary Glover, Pauline (Bill) Atkins; brothers, Joe Curtis (Dorothy) Glover, Claudius (Johnnie) Glover; 1 granddaughter, Kaylah; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 3-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021, 11:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Terence R. Gray, I, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.

    Tomasita, when my Mom told me about your Dad, I was speechless and couldn’t believe it. I will always remember him and how e all had to look up to him because he was so tall and stood out over everyone else.

    I pray that you find strength and solace in knowing he is smiling his big and bright smile in a better place and is at peace. May you find comfort in the many memories that you have of you time with your Dad.

    Our prayers are with the family. We will miss our church front row friend – A sharp dressing Trustee. He will be missed at St. Mark AME Church.

    Mr.Glover was my friend him an A.J Kleckley was the reason am still at St.Mark mighty men’s of God he alway call me “Girl Friend “ a friend he was Indeed RIH your friend Sheila I will miss u greeting me on Sunday morning at Church.

    Cousins Dee, Pauline, Mary, Claudius, Joe Curtis and the entire Glover family. Words can’t describe the loss of Cousin Edward to his extended Georgia family. Please know that we share with you your sorrows of our dear and beloved Cousin Edward. Circumstances have hindered us in being able to be there with you all at this time, but we will see you all very soon if its God’s will. Our bodies will not be there, but more than ever our hearts, minds and spirit will. We love you all soo much!! See you soon

    Mr. Glover lived an excellent life of faith and leadership. Although he is departed, The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ receive the increase!
