Obituary:
Harold Dwight Davenport, 77, of Winter Park, departed this life on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Harold was born on October 13, 1943 to Bessye and Lee Davenport in Winter Park, FL. He was educated at Hannibal Square Elementary and Hungerford High School, Eatonville.
Harold served in the US Air Force and worked for a time as a janitor at Mollie Ray Elementary School, Orlando. He married Annette McCorvey of Pensacola and remained married until her demise in 2012. Cooking and care-giving consumed much of his time. He was part owner of the catering service, Means and Davenport Catering. Harold retired to his home town of Winter Park, FL and to the home in which he grew up. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Harold is survived by his brother, Joseph Davenport; sister, Beverly Davenport; nephews, Terrance, Terraye; nieces, Atiba, Carterria, Sherraye, Latifia Scott, and Hannah Price; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
