Obituary:
Corey Karim Salaam, 51, of Apopka, departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Corey was born on August 8, 1969 in Jersey City, NJ to Lydia Jackson and Thessolina Fontaine. Corey worked as a sales agent for more than 15 years with Harley-Davidson. At the time of his demise, he was a manager at JCB Construction Inc.,
Corey was always well dressed and stylish. He looked good in any color he chose to wear. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and above all else, riding his motorcycle. He was a loving father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Corey leaves to cherish his memories: a son and 1 son-in-love; step father, Theodore (Rhonda) Freeman; siblings, Halima Salaam, Welbon (Prolet) Salaam, Habeebah Salaam, Delvin Salaam, Nyree Freeman, Bonita Freeman; devoted companion, Lundia L. Frazier; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, 2:00PM at New Life COGIC, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Minister Theodore Freeman, officiating.

Corey man I’m still in disbelief for what has transpired! I only wish I might have been there. Watch over us and me and my wife will miss seeing you!

I am just lost for words, please look down on us with your smile and walk around heaven all day. Ride out in heaven Corey, ride out you will be well missed. Gone to soon but will never be forgotten
I met Corey in 2010 when I bought a new Harley Davidson motorcycle from him. Corey was a great person. I remained friends with him until his untimely passing. I will miss him and thank God that he allowed our paths to cross on this side. I hope to see him again on the other side.
