Obituary:

Mrs. Betty P. Randall, 81, of Orlando departed this life on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Betty was born in Lake City, SC on April 26, 1939 to Ms. Emma Thomas and Mr. James Montgomery who preceded her in death. Betty accepted The Lord as her Savior at an early age. At the age of 13, she attended Greater St. James Episcopal Church in Lake City, SC. Betty graduated from Carver High School. After graduation, she worked as a CNA at Bruce Hospital in Florence, SC and an Assembly Worker at the T.S Ragsdale Co. in Lake City, SC.

In 1964, she moved to Orlando, FL where she worked as a Teacher at Children Palace Day Care. Betty loved children. Betty searched for a church home and was lead to Bethel Missionary Baptist under Pastor James Boatman. God later lead to her dedicated home for worship where Mother Randall served under Bishop Thomas S. Lee of Ebon Temple. As a Ebonite, she served on the Mother board, as an Evangelist and recently ordained as a Deaconess. Mother Randall put God first in all that she did and she made sure her family knew who God was and how good God is. God knew she served her purpose and decided to call her home March 3rd, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She’s survived by a loving husband, John Randall; five devoted children, Marshall Montgomery, Robert Chance Jr.(Sharon), Donald Chance (Virginia), Angela Thomas (Kentrick) and Roy Moore (Kathy); seven siblings, Regina Powell, Rebecca Hanna (Larry), Vickie Singletary, Deloris Clark, John Singletary, George Singletary (Jonte), and James Singletary; 16 loving grandchildren, Darrius Harris, Donnell Moore, Shanita Brewer, Frannell Montgomery, Bertrona Freeman(Andrew), Robert Chance III (Nechelle), Erica Montgomery (Nailah), Shanique Marlin, Vincent Chance (Torri), Donta Chance, Verdell Montgomery (Kisha), Dexter Jones, Marshall Montgomery Jr (Kendra), Destinee Chance, DeAngela Willingham, and Chazz Montgomery; 27 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews who cherished their Aunt Betty; 3 step-Children, Angela Williams(Vincent), Lashandra Johnson (Broderick), Regina Randall (Oliver); 3 sister-in-laws, Anna Williams, Mae Francis Davis and Flossie Williams; along with a host of neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, 11:00AM at EBON Temple, Inc., 7001 Wallace Road, Orlando with Bishop Thomas S. Lee, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell.

    How sad that we’ve lost Aunt Betty. She was truly special to my mom and was always lovely to me. I wish the Peace of Christ to all of you and pray you will be sustained by the memories you made with her.
