Obituary:

Deacon Elonza A. Slones, 87, of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Elonza, a native of Alabama, was born on April 2, 1933 to Mamie and Zedrick Slones. Professionally, he was employed as a construction worker for several years. He served the Lord with all his heart as a Deacon and faithful member of True Vine Baptist Church, Orlando. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by her three daughters, Margaret Davis, Janice Slones, Iris T. Slones; son, Gregory (Toni) Slones; sisters, Savannah (Roosevelt) Ricks, Sandra (James) Teter; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, 11:00 AM at True Vine Baptist Church, 1711 Rose Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Omega Jenkins, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

    My grandaddy was the sweetest man that I know he didn’t say much but he sure will wave his one finger & smile grandaddy we love u & miss u 😢😢
