Obituary:

Adell Landrum Jones, 84, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2020. Adell was born to the late Robert Landrum and Arnez Collins on April 12, 1936 in Longwood, MS. She was the second of five children. She was educated in the Western Line District, attending Avon Elementary, and finishing her studies at O’Bannon High.

Adell accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age, believing and walking in his love by faith. A member of Victory through Grace Church until her passing.

She knew the meaning of love being the mother of 11 children and every child in the community. She never turned a child away and was always willing to open her door to anyone in need. Perfect love that cast out fear, she walked in that. She was employed for over 30 years in the Hospitality field where her humble and meek spirit was appreciated. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her 10 loving children: 3 sons, Mose (Trina) Dixon, III, Scott (Gemma) JeAri, Earl Jones; seven daughters, Barbara (JC) Love, Bernadine Dixon, Mary Jones, Deloise (Marion) Parish, Yolanda Jones, Katrina (Stanley) Jones, Terri Jones; 41 grandchildren; 90 great grands; 23 great great grands; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020, 3:00PM at Harvest Baptist Church, 514 S. Parramore Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Michael Burgess, officiating. Final services and burial will take place in Hollandale, MS under the direction of Harris Funeral Home.
