Obituary:

Willie F. Saxon, 78, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Willie, affectionately called Sax, was born on July 20, 1942 in Camilla, GA to Ophelia and Tom Saxon. Professionally, he was employed as a roofer for several years. In his spare time, Willie enjoyed fishing, gardening and driving. Willie was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Orlando. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his devoted wife of 57 years, Ruth Saxon; son, Gregory Saxon; daughter, Pamela (Dwayne) Hardy; brother, Kenneth Saxon; sister, Bonitha Williams; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, 11:00AM at St. John Baptist Church, 30 Fred L. Maxwell Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Rolous A. Frazier, Jr., officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020, 11:00AM at Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Camilla, Georgia.

    To my family, I am very sorry our loss. Willie being a great friend and cousin in law to me, I like to that he leave lots great memories to me and family. From our days in Camilla GA until the day of his passing great have always been great pleasure to be around and was always willing to help you when called asked. He will be missed at our family reunion by all of family members. I know my cousin Ruth, his wife is feeling the loss of her loving husband. I pray that she and his family will find great strength in his memories. God 🙏 bless.

    To Ruth and Family I’m so sorry to hear of Willie passing and But yet we are rejoicing of his Home Going ro be with Our Lord and Savior and being in continual prayers that we will see him again . I certainly hope you are cherishing your wonderful years you share will Willie for 57! Years, that is truly Love . That’s being said we can really see how you all were together for so many years you being such a loving person and Willie being such a loving Guy it was so easily to see. The years you guys shared. Ruth I am truly sorry for Willie departure but God will comfort you and the family and I know your trust in Him will always prevail Willie was such a super guys . I m sorry I can’t be there in person but do know that my spirit of God we share will be present . May God be with you and Family. Our Love for Family Will always be unionized.
