Obituary:

Janice Lindo Ingleton, 56, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Janice was born January 19, 1963 in Bath, St. Thomas, Jamaica to Mrs. Ertencia Smythe and Mr. Noel Lindo. Janice attended Happy Grove High School in Portland, Jamaica. She was a hard worker and she migrated to the United States in 1989 where she attended Southern Technical College and got her LPN. She worked at Florida Hospital, Orlando Regional Center, and contracted with several other facilities in Orlando.

She first met her husband Kesley in Portland, Jamaica in 1976. They reunited in 1990 and then got married in 2005. She fell ill at the peak of her career and due to health problems, she had to retire early from a flourishing career in nursing. Even after her retirement, she was a passionate entrepreneur who exported clothing for sale in St. Thomas, Jamaica.

Janice was a phenomenal and articulate woman. She was the glue that held the family together. She loved to celebrate holidays and entertain family and friends at her home. She loved to cook with her husband Kesley Ingleton. She was a strong woman with a zest for life and because of her faith in God she gave her family the support and strength they needed on this journey with her. She took care of her nieces and nephews and loved to visit Jamaica every year. She wished to stay close to her roots, and her last visit to Jamaica was on December 22, 2019. She was a very kind woman who helped a lot of family and friends to the very end. She had a positive view of life and was always grateful for life’s blessings. She had a great love for animals and her favorite dog was our very own Lilly Biggs. She was an outstanding wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Kesley Ingleton; two sons, Kirk Gordon and Ackeem Minott. She also leaves behind her six brothers: Roy, Winston, Weston, Derrick, Neal, and Devon; followed by many nieces and nephews as well as a host of cousins and best friends.

A service of memory will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Dr. Omari Anderson, officiating.
