Although I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Mr. Kemp personally, I know his daughter, Wendy — and that speaks volumes. She is one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met, and I can only imagine she learned that from her father. My heart is holding the entire Kemp family as they honor and celebrate a life that clearly left such a beautiful legacy.

Wilfred was my mom’s first cousin and was an amazing cousin to me. Conversations with him were insightful and enlightening. He was that relative who lite up the room when he entered. Sending love to Lee, Deborah and your daughters.

I am saddened to learn recently of Wildred Kemp’s passing. He was a proud son of Tulsa Oklahoma, a graduate along with my brother, Ernie Fields Jr. of Tulsa’s Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1951. Deepest sympathy Wildred’s family and friends.
