Obituary:

Ruby Jean Patterson, 88, of Apopka, Florida departed this life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Ruby was born on March 14, 1937 in Gainesville, Florida to the late Mary Ann Kegler and Jimmy Jones.

Ruby was a very kind, generous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She dedicated her life to caring for people. She was an active and faithful member of Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ, serving on the Mother’s Board. She also served on the Hospitality committee and with the Women with Positive Energy ministry. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ruby leaves her precious memories with 4 children, Valerie (Jesus) Torres, Charles Patterson Jr., Vernon ( Nelly) Patterson, Vicki Patterson; 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, 1:00 PM at Trinity Temple COGIC, 5007 Old Winter Garden Road, Orlando with Pastor Woody Omega, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
