Obituary:

Michael Donovan “Mike” Gopie, Sr., of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Michael was born on September 17, 1965 in Belham, England to Evadney and Leslie Gopie.

Mike was employed as plumber for several years. He was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. Mike raised all of his kids with values and morals. He always taught all of his kids how to be strong and resilient. He was a provider and devoted his life to caring for his beloved family. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his loving children, Michael Gopie Jr., Jelinda Stokes, Emane Russell, Jada Carter; parents, Evadney and Leslie Gopie; sisters, Janet Gopie Myers, Pamela Gopie (Iwagdee) Agoora; 4 grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.

A service of memory will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, 2:00PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
