Obituary:

Mary Louise Henry, 83, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, May 9, 2025. “Missy”, as she was affectionately called, was born on April 12, 1942 in Athens, GA to the late Mamie Stovall and Walter Green. Mary worked for many years as a certified nurses assistant. She dedicated her life to her raising her beloved family and caring for people. She enjoyed cooking, baking and keeping a clean home. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family to follow. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her 4 children, Sonya (Derryl) Fields, Lawrence (Delicia) Henry Jr., Lajuana (Leonard) Raines, Diego Henry; 3 sisters, Diane Elam, Gloria Haynes, Beverly King; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 4PM-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Institutional Church, 535 W. Washington Street, Orlando with Pastor Samuel Edwards, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

    A long time close neighbor, Ms. Mary was one of the most beautiful souls in The Heights. I will remember her for her steadfastness, kindness and grace. Our prayers go out to the family.
