Obituary:

Margaret Watson Snow, 95, of Leesburg, fell asleep and entered her eternal rest on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Margaret was born on on August 4, 1929 in Ft. White, Florida to the late Margaret and Boney Watson.

Margaret was a loving and caring woman with a heart of gold. She loved taking care of her home, family and serving in her church, St. Stephen AME, Leesburg. Her grandchildren always gravitated to her. She instilled values and morals in the lives of all the children around her. She was consecrated as a Deaconess at St. Stephen AME Church, and she served as a willing worker in whatever capacity was needed. Deaconess Snow was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memories: loving son, Ray (Debbra) Snow; sister, Phyllis (Guerian) Fort; 2 brothers, William (Phyllis) Watson, David (Ann) Watson; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, 1:00 PM at St. Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church, 302 Church Street, Leesburg with Reverend R.D. Daniels, officiating. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Leesburg.

    May God’s mercy and peace comfort the family in this difficult time of grief. I shall always cherish the memory of Mrs. Margaret Snow who was a wonderful example of love and kindness . She will be missed but never forgotten.

    Another pioneer gone home. Growing up in St. Stephen AME, she was a very familiar face to my family and others. The Harris-Richardson family gives our sincere condolences and prayers for the Snow family.
