Obituary:

Marcella A. Smith, 66, of Orlando, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at Orlando Health Central Hospital after a short illness. She was born on October 26, 1958, to her devoted mother Louise Marie Smith in Portsmouth, Virginia. She received her formal education through the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Burlington, New Jersey, Public School systems, where she received her diploma from Burlington City High School.

After graduation, Marcella worked at the Burlington County Unemployment Office. Afterwards, she provided childcare for various families.

Marcella accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a devout Christian. She always ended each visit or conversation with “Jesus loves you”.

After relocating to Orlando, Florida, she became a resident of the Island Assisted Living Facility for over 15 years where she remained until her passing. Marcella loved her adopted city and considered herself a true Floridian.

Left to honor and cherish her memory: Her brothers: Donnell Smith (Ramona) and Franklin Jackson; nephew: Donnell Smith II; niece: Dr. Lauren Smith, and a host of aunts, cousins and extended family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service of memory will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
