Obituary:
Luther James Adams, Jr., 56, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Luther, affectionately called Big Luke, was born on September 21, 1969 in Clewiston, FL to Sylvia Goubourne and Luther Adams. Professionally, he worked as a truck driver for Waste Pro for several years.
Luther was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He always taught his children how to be strong and resilient. He was a die hard fan of the Miami Hurricanes and the Dallas Cowboys. Aside from sports, he spent quality time with his beloved family and friends. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Big Luther is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Adams; 5 children, Jasmine Adams, Luther Adams, Giovanni Adams, Tameka Otu, Dawn Moore; 2 brothers, Rashad Ishmael Shabazz, Corwin Texada; sister, Ciecsly Allen; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 4-6 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Roland Gobourne, officiating.

Just found out that my dear friend Luther passed away three weeks ago from one of his coworkers very true friend had a lot of good times together some of the things we did when we were younger. I’ll never forget my prayers are with you and your family. Love you all.
