Obituary:

Julie Diane Woodard, 70, of Orlando, fell asleep and entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 25, 2025. Julie was born on August 22, 1955, in Hollywood, Florida, to the late Rosalie Daniels Jessie and Carver T. Jessie, Sr.

Affectionately known as “Diane” by her family and friends, she was raised in Orlando, where she attended Callahan Elementary, Robert E. Lee Junior High, Jones High School, and Jones Business College.

Minister Julie was a woman of great faith and strength — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the baby of her family and the last of seven siblings. Diane’s kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. She welcomed all with open arms and a loving heart. She often reminded her family that “our help comes from the Lord” and encouraged them to always keep their heads held high.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rosalie Daniels Jessie (1992) and Carver T. Jessie, Sr.(1973); and her siblings, Ronald Jessie (1988), Nathaniel Jessie (1996), Mattie Ruth Jessie (1997), Elizabeth “Liz” Jessie (2007), Yvonne Jordan (2007), and Carver T. Jessie, Jr. (2021).

Julie leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Eric Woodard, Sr.; sons, Willie (Tonja) Graham, Jr. and Barry (Tawaisha) Graham; daughter, Tiffany Atwell; stepsons, Damius (Vanessa) Woodard and Eric Woodard, Jr. and a special daughter – Melvina Williams. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Jade Seay-Graham, Brittany Diane Graham, Diamond Seay-Graham, Ayana Graham, Raymond Christia, Christian Graham, Jeremiah Graham, Julius Graham, Akina Rose Graham, Tameela Martinez, Fatboy, mama, Daylon, and Aquarius. As well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. She also leaves to cherish her memory two special children, Lucy and Christopher, who held a very special place in her heart.

Julie Diane Woodard’s life was a testimony of love, faith, and grace. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and wisdom will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Institutional Church, 535 W. Washington Street, Orlando with Reverend Steve Woodson, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
