Obituary:

Johnny Lee Herring, 82, of Clermont, departed this life on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Johnny Lee was born on January 20, 1943 in Flora, MS to the late Easter and Noah Herring. After completing his formal education, he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1966. Following his military service, Johnny Lee was employed in food services for several years.

Johnny Lee dedicated his life to service, his family and community. He was an active and faithful member of St. Mark AME Church, and served in various capacities of the church, namely on the Steward Board. He instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all his children and grandchildren to follow. Johnny Lee was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He survived by his sons, Toussaint (Audrey) Herring, Kimani (Marissa) Herring; sisters, Easter Herring, Bertha Daniels; 5 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 5 PM – 7PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, 11:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Terence R. Gray, I, officiating.

    Bro.Herring was a very good friend and one of the best Holy Steward for our Stewardess Board he served us with love and respect he will truly be missed earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal

    To the family of brother ,Herring my sincere condolences he was a wonderful person. I came to know him while serving on the Feed My Sheeo Ministry he always had a smile on his face. Rest in peace brother Johnny heaven has gained an angel.

    Mr.Herring kind faith an loving person no one was strange to him he love everyone faithful to his call of duty’s he was a great servant in all area every time I saw him he ask about my daughter Bianca she was very fun of him RIP heaven open wide for you 🙏🏽
