Obituary:

James Edward Davis Jr., 61, of Ocoee, departed this life on Monday, November 17, 2025. James, affectionately known as “Jim Bo”, was born on December 3, 1963 in Orlando to the late Rosa Postell and James Davis Sr. James was a veteran of the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1984. He was later employed with the US Postal service.

James was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He always taught his children how to be strong and resilient. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his daughters, LaQwanda Davis (Patrick Robinson), Latisha Davis; sisters, Joslyn M. Pearson, Roslyn M. Smith, Jacqueline D. Tuck, Sheri L. Davis; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 4-6PM at Mt. Zion AME Church, 420 W. Hull Avenue, Oakland. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, 11:00AM at Oakland Presbyterian Church, 218 E. Oakland Avenue, Oakland with Pastor Dexter Johnson, officiating. Interment: Oakland Community Cemetery with full military honors.

    We send our sincere condolences to the Davis family. Jimmy (as we knew him) was a very good friend from elementary to high school to sharing a military career in the Air Force, Jim will always be special #BothersInArms forever. The Air Force’s motto is Aim High, he has gained his wings,… RIH Brother.
