Obituary:
George James Lindsay, 79, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2025. George, affectionately called ‘George Man and Legs’, was born in Clarendon, Jamaica, W.I. on March 5, 1946 to the late Beatrice and Donville Lindsay.
In pursuit of the American dream, he migrated to the United States of America, eventually settling down in Central Florida. Professionally, he worked as a plumber for several years. In his spare time, George enjoyed dancing, singing, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish and celebrate his legacy: 3 children, Fitzroy Lindsay, Simon Lindsay, Zetilda Atkinson; 3 siblings, Merle Dillon, Linda Fullerton, Daphne Smith; 12 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, 3:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Reverend Arnold A. Porter, officiating.
