Obituary:
Cora Lee Curry, 81, affectionately known as โC C,โ departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. She was born on December 3, 1944 in Colquitt, GA to the late Fannie and John Hudson. She completed her formal education in OCPS and was a proud graduate of Jones High School, class of 1963. She was a model student and her leadership skills allowed her to serve as her class secretary, thus laying the foundation for a life defined by serving others and dedication.
Cora was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She faithfully served as a manager with the Orange County Head Start Program for over 27 years.
Her faith in God was central to her life. Sis. Curry served as an active, dedicated, faithful member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando for over 60 years. For six decades, she worked diligently with the youth, the finance committee, sang in the choir, and served willingly wherever she was needed. She loved the Lord and demonstrated her faith through service.
Aside from her church activities, she was also the secretary for the Holden Heights Successful Seniors Club. As a pillar of her community, Cora was seen as more than a mother, she was a nurturer, a friend and a guiding light. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering generosity touched countless lives. If you needed her, she was there without hesitation, without judgement and always with love. She instilled in her children the values of family, community, and unconditional love, leaving a legacy that lives on in every life she touched. Cora Lee was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughters, Trienta L. Curry, Pamela L. (Phillip) Curry, Tangela D. (Harold) Scott; sisters, Jonnie M. (Michael) Harper, Debra Reid, Theresa McDonald, Vickie Hudson, Dorothy Hudson, Bonnie Williams, Mary (Wincent) Brown; 7 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 5-7 PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, 1:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 4724 Raleigh Street, Orlando with Pastor Patrick Thomas, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

To my cousins, Trish, Pam, and Tangela, your mom’s beautiful spirit continues to live in each of you. I will never forget how she brought strength and comfort to us during our time of bereavement. May the faith and trust in God she taught you strengthen you. Love you. Sharrow
To my other mom:
Although you are no longer with us, I know you are in a better place watching over all of us.
