Obituary:

Vivian M. Andrews, 88, of Apopka, departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Vivian was born in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua on March 7, 1935 to the late Candace and Charles Ruel Brooks.

In pursuit of the American dream, she migrated to the United States of America, eventually settling down in Central Florida. Professionally, she worked as a nurse for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, gardening, playing the piano and singing.

Vivian was a founding member of Mt. Olive SDA Church, where she served faithfully for several years in the choir and in the Family Life Ministries services. She would work on mission projects and in what ever capacity was needed to serve God and people until her call to rest. Vivian was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish and celebrate her legacy: 4 children, Adrian (Kya) Andrews, Meryl (Jeff) Williamson, Meshach (Marlene) Baptiste, Edward (Betty) Baptiste; siblings, Rennie Brooks, Glenn (Yvonne) Brooks; 7 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, 11:00AM at Mt. Olive Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3350 Clarcona Road, Apopka with Pastor Carl Ware, officiating. Interment: Highland Memory Garden, Apopka.

Vivian was our next door neighbor for many years and such a delight to see and speak with whenever we had the chance. She was always so positive and thankful for life. Quite often, when she would cook a big meal and have extra, she would knock on our door with a plate of food, which really made our day. She will be missed.
