Obituary:

Violet L. Davey, 85, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, June 26, 2020. Violet was born on April 13, 1935 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies to Beatrice and Fred Mullings. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and also worked in food service for several years. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Violet is survived by her loving husband, Othniel Davey; her children, Stennet G. Smith, Stephanie Davey, Elaine Davey, Marjorie Davey, Caroline Davey, Robert Davey, Milford Davey and Laurel Davey; brothers, Renford Mullings, Milton Mullings; sisters, Verris Carnegie, Esmie Mullings, Hazel Mullings, and Daisy Mullings; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00AM, West Oaks Community Church of God, 8624 AD Mims Road, Orlando with Pastor Thomas Parlier, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.

Executive Order in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic… we will only allow 10 individuals in at a time to enter the funeral home. We must adhere to these guidelines so that we all can remain safe and secure during this crisis. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    My sincerest condolences to Mr Davey and Family!
    Sister Davey was one of my mom’s loving friend.
    I always admired the friendship they both shared.
    My prayers are with you and your family.
    Sister Davey will be rejoicing around God’s throne in heaven, with my mom.
