Obituary:

Thelma M. Stevens, 66, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Thelma was born on May 7, 1957 in Deerfield Beach, Florida to Elizabeth and James Phillips Sr. Professionally, Thlema worked as a certified nurses assistant for several years.

Thelma dedicated her life to raising and caring for her beloved family. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family to follow. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Stevens Sr.; 3 children, Erroll Phillips, Trenita (Broderick) Whitehead, Rodney (Lalla) Stevens, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Bennett, Yolanda Dixson-Phillips; brothers, Erroll Phillips, Wilburt Phillips, Luigi Phillips, Vernon Phillips, Lazareth Phillips, Victor Phillips, Lonnie Melvin, Waymond Phillips; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchidren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 4PM-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, 11:00 AM at Majestic Life Center, 821 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

    My deepest condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of working with Thelma and I will always remember her as a wonderful God fearing woman that would go out her way to help anyone in need. Rest in Peace Queen you will forever be in our hearts.
