Obituary:

Ruthie Mae Lennard, 95, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Ruthie Mae, affectionately known as ”Ms. Cozy”, was born on April 24, 1928 in Pineview, Georgia to the late M L Williamson and Willie James Taylor.

Ruthie dedicated her life to service, her family and community. She was the owner and operator of the Cozy Inn Restaurant Cafe. She had a true passion for cooking and making people feel welcomed and loved. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando and served faithfully until her health began to decline. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her children and grandchildren to follow. Ruthie Mae was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: daughter, Virgina Brown; son, Daniel Wallace, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, 11:00 AM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 30 Fred L. Maxwell Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Rolous Frazier, Jr., officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
