Obituary:
Rosa Lee Blount, 86, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Rosa Lee was born on December 13, 1934 in Edenton, NC to Mary and John Henry Blount. She attended and graduated from D.F. Walker High School in 1952, Chowan County, North Carolina. She went on to become a shop stewardess in downtown Manhattan and retired in 1997.
Rosa Lee Blount was a staunch Jehovah’s witness. She was also a skilled seamstress, dynamic cook, and a horticulturalist. Rosa Lee was admirable, sensational, monumental, astonishing, above all she was the beloved matriarch of the Blount family.
She is survived by her 6 loving children: Garland Bembry, Felita Marshall, Sandra Huntley, William Roulhac Jr., Robert Roulhac, Janice Roulhac-Griffin; 3 siblings, Mary Emma, James Blount Jr., Robert Blount; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, 11:00AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
