Obituary:

Reverend Viola M. Fisher, 90, a former resident of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL. Reverend Fisher was born in Sheldon, SC on January 10, 1932 to Rosa Lee and Isaiah Chisolm who preceded her in death. Rev. Fisher accepted The Lord as her Savior at an early age.

Professionally, Viola worked in many different fields of service but retired as an accountant. Rev. Fisher loved people. Her devotion to service and her call into ministry led her to becoming the Pastor of Little Friendship Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, NY.

Reverend Fisher relocated to Central Florida and joined the ministerial staff of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando. Reverend Fisher put God first in all that she did and she made sure her family knew who God was and how good God is. God knew she served her purpose and decided to call her home on October 25th. She was a loving mother, grandmother, Servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Reverend Viola is survived by her loving children: sons, James Fisher, Shawn Fisher; daughter, Dawn (Francisco) Livingston; 1 granddaughter; a host of other relatives, church family and many friends.

Visitation and wake services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, November 5, 10:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Terence R. Gray, officiating. Final services and burial will take place in White Plains, NY under the direction of LeGall Funeral Services.
