Obituary:

Refair Woodberry Green, 87, of Orlando, fell asleep and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Refair was born on March 16, 1936 in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Estelle Sawyer and Roland Woodberry. She was also raised by a stepfather, Wiley Sawyer of Tallahassee, FL.

Refair loved the Lord, her life, her family, and the church. She was an active member of The Life Center Church, Eatonville for over 50 years, serving in the media and usher ministry. Mother Green also participated in Sunday School, Senior’s and Women’s Ministry. She was a faithful, dependent servant. Mother Green was always one of the very first people to arrive at church for service every week. She was a faithful and willing servant who instilled love, wisdom and Christian values for her family to follow. Mother Green was sure to greet anyone she encountered with a smile, a kiss on the forehead, and she would always give you a peppermint candy. She never had any biological children, but she cared for and raised many children, nieces, and nephews.

Mother Green will be missed by her church family, everyone who knew and loved her for her loving and caring ways. She was a devoted sister, aunt, servant and friend whose memories will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Refair is survived by her siblings, Rosella Sawyer Gilliam (Wilburt Sr.), Tallahassee, FL; Alma Scott (Roland), Orlando, FL; sisters-in-laws, Betty Green Jackson, Loretta Green; goddaughter, Grace Aleem, who has been with Refair Green from start to finish of her illness; and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, church family, and many friends.

Visitation wil be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, 11:00AM at Life Center Church, 63 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Eatonville. Interment: Eatonville Memorial Gardens, Eatonville.

Mother Refair will always be remembered as such a kind and caring person. She always had a smile, greeting and sweet treat to slip in your hand. She also made beautiful handmade jewelry that she would generously share. I will treasure my gifts from her forever. I also remember her love of crocheted quilts and afghans as well. She will be truly be missed. Rest in sweet peace…love and kisses.

Momma Green will truly be missed. She was a loving woman with a beautiful heart., but will speak her mind. I will miss our hair salon days and lunching. Also the beautiful jewelry she made for me and other ladies that were at the hair salon. I loved keeping her hair beautiful as she was. She was like another mother to me.God has truly gain a Angel
