Obituary:

Rebecca Demonia Nelson, 83 of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Rebecca was born on November 7, 1936 in Florence County, SC to Ada Mae and Clifton Nelson. She was a member of House of God Saints in Christ, serving in several capacities until her health declined.

Rebecca dedicated her life to service to her family and community. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was the matriarch of the Nelson family, who instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow. Mother Nelson was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: devoted husband, Johnnie R. Nelson; sons, Ellison (Geneva) Rhodes, Ronnie Nelson; daughters, Shirley D. (Tyrone) Ward, Joyce Laster, Debra Nelson, Cathyrn Joyner; sister, Sandra Nelson; brothers, Lawrence (Maggie) Nelson, Ray (Pastor Demonia) Demonia; 14 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, 12:00 Noon at The Fountains of Living Waters Ministries, 2200 Silver Star Road, Orlando with Apostle Henrietta Demonia, officiating. Interment: Eatonville Memorial Gardens, Eatonville.

    We are so sorry to hear. of Cousin Rebecca’s transition from Earth To Eternity.. Our Sincere Condolences To Cousin Johnny Ray, children, grandchildren, sibling and family. We know if this Earthly Tabernacle were to be resolve , we want a building not made by man’s hand. Truly we know that was Cousin Rebecca’s goal to spend Eternity with God. Sorry we are not able to be with the Family during this difficult time in the natural, however know that we are with you in the Spirit. We Pray you will find solace in these words in II Timothy 4:7-8, she has received that CROWN of RIGHTEOUSNESS as she enter into Eternal Rest. You are in our thoughts and Prayers .
