Obituary:

Patriza Ronai “Ms. Boss” Deterville, 33, of Orlando departed this life suddenly on Sunday, April 9, 2023. Patriza, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on September 1, 1989 to the late Raymona A. Palm-Bostic and Patrick Deterville.

Patriza was educated in Orange County Public Schools. She later enlisted in the US Army and served her country honorably. To those who knew Pat, she will be remembered as a caring, fun, outgoing person who was willing to lend a helping hand. She was always there to offer her support. She loved people and her passion was caring for her children. Both family and friends would agree, Pat was someone you could trust and rely on. Patriza was a loving mother, companion, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted fiance, Tony R. Blair, Jr.; 4 children, Johvan Athanase, Jeremiah Athanase, Tony Blair III, Antione Blair; father, Patrick Deterville; sister, Janice Deterville; brothers, Lincoln Felix, Wadsworth Nicholas, Alfred Emilien Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, 1:00PM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Reverend Terrell Blair, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando with military honors.

    Sending my sincere condolences to the boys and family – Patriza was a complete joy to work with. Always had love in her heart and spirit of fun, I miss her and will continue to miss her.     I was one of pat coworkers at Sedgwick. she was on my team. she welcomed me with open arms when i joined the team and was so caring and helpful. I didn’t know her for a long time, but the short time i knew her she was very funny and went out her way to help someone she didn’t know. My deepest condolences. she will be missed.

    I worked with Patriza for a spell at Chase Bank and she was so sweet and funny, I didn’t k ow her long but I could tell she loves to have fun and she loves her boys! My condolences to the family and I pray that God comforts everyone hurting especially her boys…
