Obituary:
Patricia Gail Slade, 69, of Orlando, Florida departed this life on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Gail, as she was lovingly known, was born on October 2, 1956 in Orlando, Florida to the late Willie Lee Everhart and Handy Slade Sr. Professionally, she worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years.
Gail was a very kind, generous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She dedicated her life to her raising and caring for her beloved family. She was an active and faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando even as her health began to decline. She served faithfully on the usher board and in any capacity she she was asked to do. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and family to follow. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Patricia leaves her precious memories with her loving children, Samora (Anthony) Brown, Selwyn Everhart; sisters, Paula A. Slade, Helen Slade-McLaughlin, Barbara Slade; brothers, Dennis (Cindy) Sipp, Calvin (Teresa) Everhart; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, church family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5-7 PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00PM, Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Drew Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Charles Williams Jr., officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
