Obituary:

Nicholas Vaughn “Nick” Deveaux, 24, of Ocoee departed this life on Monday, February 14, 2022. Nicholas was born on April 11, 1997 to Venzil and Valderene Deveaux on the beautiful island of Grand Bahama. His name was given by his beloved sister: Nicola and he was affectionately called “Nick” by family and close friends.

During his early years, Nicholas attended Laketa’s Daycare and Preschool. In early 2001, at the tender age of 4 years old, Nicholas moved to Orlando with is parents. He was enrolled at Hiawassee Elementary, Robinswood Middle School, Chain of Lakes Middle School and subsequently graduated from Olympia High school.

Nicholas was a young man with a strong desire to work. He was employment at various establishments here in Orlando. Some of those places included: Universal Studios, United Health and lastly Concentrix.

During his latter years of High school, Nicholas’ health began to deteriorate. Nicholas was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. As time went by, he would spend many days in intensive care units of hospitals as he went through the ckd stages. Even through his pain, his smile, love and zest for life was apparent in all that he did. On February 14th, 2022, God looked down and saw his tired face and said “come home my child”. It was sometime early on that Monday morning that Nicholas took his last breath while in the arms of his loving mother. Nicholas was a loving, kind and selfless person. He touched the hearts of many that he came into contact with. His memories will be cherished in the hearts of his beloved family:

Nick leaves to cherish his memories with his: mother, Valderene Emily Deveaux; father, Venzil Deveaux; sisters: Nicola Joffer and Ethlyn Ferguson; sister-in-Law: Monique Murray; adopted Sister: Denise Farquharson; brothers: Troy Joffer, Kenneth Murray, Roberto, Elexus, Adrin, Roumel and Darius Deveaux; brother-in-Law: Lawrence McKenzie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 11:00AM at New Life Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 3919 W. New Hampshire Street, Orlando with Pastor David Patterson, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
