Obituary: Murdis Lenora Coleman, 76, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, June 18, 2021. Murdis, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on July 15, 1944 to the late Carrie B. and Henry Coleman. Professionally, she retired from working as a hotel sale’s clerk.

Murdis dedicated her life to service to her church and community. She was a faithful and active member of Hurst Chapel AME Church, Orlando for over 30 years. She served in numerous capacities to include the church secretary. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her family to follow. Murdis was a devoted sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: brother, Lester (Kamloutie) L. Coleman; sisters, Sarah McGee, Bernice (Russell) Dariso; 2 Guardchildren (devoted niece/nephew), Yolanda McGee Morgan, Christopher Dariso; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, many friends and church family.

A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, 11:00AM at Hurst Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 901 Bentley Street, Orlando with Rev. Rhonda McIntyre officiating and Rev. Dr. Falecia D. Williams eulogist. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

    Cousin Murdis, I am grateful for conversations shared and time spent in your company. Your presence on earth will be missed for sure! Thank you for being such a great example of a giving soul ❀️ Oh and that SMILE πŸ˜ƒ… truly it could light up a room!. You are beautiful inside and out! I say β€œare” because though you left your earth suit, you still live on… eternally basking in the presence of your Savior πŸ™πŸ½ Rest well. I love you.
