Obituary:

Minnie L. Cleveland, 92, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. On July 23, 1929, Sister Minnie was born in Dawson, Georgia to the loving parents of Mr. Daniel C. and Mrs. Hester D. King. She was educated in Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Jones High School, Orlando, FL. She married the love of her life, Sgt. Clarence Cleveland, in 1952. Their love remained steadfast until his death in 2002. To this union, a son was born, Alfred L. Cleveland.

She was a dedicated member of the COGIC at Washington Park Church of God and later at 910 Church of God, in attendance regularly until her later years when she was unable to attend. Because she knew we are the church, Minnie dedicated her time to assisting with raising her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She traveled abroad with her late husband Sgt. Clarence Cleveland and her son Alfred for many years as a Military wife and mother. Their travel destinations included Germany, Spain and many other overseas countries. Minnie lived in New York and Fayetteville, NC. She was a seamstress and loved cooking. Minnie spent many years working on the various military bases and after returning to state side she worked in the retail industry. Minnie was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved and served the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her Grandchildren, Sherri; Evelyn; Alfred Jr; Jamal; Angela; Michael; Theressa; Terica; Keshon; God daughters, L. Veanie Anderson; Esther Dykes Howell; Marcia Haynes; Carolyn Swain; 30 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 11:00 AM at Majestic Life Center, 821 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando with Bishop Kelvin L. Cobaris, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell.
