Obituary:

Minnie Helen Stallworth Bushner, 84 of Ocoee, departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Minne, the fourth child of the late John David Stallworth Sr. and Ruby Kelley Stallworth, was born on February 19, 1939 in Evergreen, Alabama.

Minnie received her primary education in Evergreen, Alabama, and had to stop her formal education at a young age to help raise her siblings after passing of her mom. The younger six of ten. She received her spiritual foundation at an early age in Evergreen, Alabama at Beulah Baptist Church. Leaving Evergreen, she relocated to Miami, Florida. She had a passion for cooking, worked at Woolworth, Montgomery Ward as a baker. She also worked as a Domestic Housekeeper in Miami, Florida. She later attended Lindsay Hopkins Technical School for training as a Nurse’s Aide.

After leaving Miami, she relocated to Akron, Ohio for a better life for her family. She always kept their best interest at heart. Continuing to build her Spiritual foundation She attended Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Minnie took on the role of her life as a Caretaker in caring and raising children. She raised 14 children over her lifetime. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and watching T.V. Some of her favorite viewings were As the World Turns, Young and the Restless, Jeopardy, Family Feud and The Price is Right. She also loved to spend time with her husband at Northfield Racetrack where they would go every Friday night, this was their date night, needless to say, they never came home broke.

Later wanting to return to a warmer climate she relocated to Ocoee, Florida. She joined in Fellowship with Grace Bible Church of Central Florida. She continued to build on her spiritual foundation. She had a servant heart always caring for the needs of others, would give you her last without looking for a return. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She loved her family unconditionally.

Leaving to cherish fond memories her surviving Children, Minnie Thomas, Edward Paige (Lisa), Sharon Bushner; Nieces that she raised as daughters, Bernadette Jackson, Erica Forbes Lopez, Caroline Forbes Bell; Adopted children, Katrina Bushner, Lakisha Bushner, Raymond Bushner; Brother, Glenwood Payne; and a host of Grandchildren , Great-Grands, nephews, nieces other sorrowing relatives and friends. Minnie truly appreciated the additional love and support from her Great Grandchildren; Jaylen Latson-Jenkins, Eddrick Latson-Fortner and Jordan Latson- Davis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, 4:00 PM at Grace Bible Church of Central Florida, 801 Dorscher Road, Orlando with Pastor Gene Pritchard, officiating.
